Mega Health Camp In Tribal Area – Achampet

Multispecialty mega health camp was conducted by the Kamineni group of institutions Narketpally for 3 days from 19-21 march 2012. Ten senior faculty from all clinical departments, 20 postgraduates, 40 interns, 20 technicians, 15 nurses, 20supporting staff & 4 pharmacists participated on all the 3 days of the camp. Camp site at Achampet is in the Nallamala forest area & home to major tribal population. More than 10000 tribal & rural patients were checked up, investigations done free of cost &about 50 Lakh rupees worth of medicines distributed. 500 patients were given complete free surgical treatment at Narketpally Kamineni hospital. The entire medical camp was planned &executed by the junior doctors of KIMS. It is for the first time in the world such a medical camp was organized in a tribal area.

Graduation day - april 2012:

On 07.04.2012 graduation day was held in the Giridhar Auditorium, the Chief Guest for the event was Sri. Navin Gulati, IPS, the Superintendent of Police, Nalgonda. The event was presided by Sri. Kamineni Suryanarayana Garu, President of Kamineni Education Society. A total of 148 MBBS graduates and 8 B.Sc (MLT) graduates along with graduates of Dental College passed out on the occasion. It was a memorable event for fresh graduates and their parents.

Free Mega Plastic and General Surgery Camp

A Free Mega Surgical Camp was conducted at KIMS, Narketpally, Nalgonda Dist. in association with the Lions Club of Hyderabad Green lands, Hyderabad North, Kapra -Mother Theresa and

Medical Team of Mercy Mission, Michigan, U.S.A.

De-Addiction Center

The De-addiction Centre is started with a motive of treating drug and chemical abuse and alcoholics. It was started in the year 2003 by Kamineni Foundation. The patients and their family members are counseled together and admitted on the basis of merit. The course of the treatment is about 60 days and with an intake of 25 patients. So far about 600 patients were treated with a success rate of 60%. The centre also conducts Alcoholics Anonymous meetings in Nalgonda and other towns in neighboring districts to create awareness and to prevent relapse of the treated patients. The entire treatment including the food is taken care by Kamineni Foundation.
